A look at a manufactured home renovation from a do it yourselfer

I purchased a 3 bedroom 2 bath double wide home and it is plain as can be. I've looked all over the net for ideas and have encountered many people with the same questions I have about fixing one up. I hope to update my blog with many pictures of my progress. I will be focusing on the interior.

  1. This is GREAT! I'm also in a double wide that is in bad need of a redo. Just started this week on my son's bedroom. The taping and floating are a pain! I'm thinking of just priming and painting over the strips in the next room or do as my husband suggested and purchase drywall to put over the vinyl wallboard.

  3. We had a leaking roof last year and everything was wet inside our mobile home. It's a lesson for us to make sure we keep our roof in tip-top shape and to be proactive, as well. We researched a lot on signs to look out for before the roof leaks, and it made quite a different. Becoming more vigilant is a must and this will translate in savings for the future for us.
