Finally an update!

Okay so a recap of the remodel

All wall strips and trim molding were removed from walls

Whole house was primered first, then drywall seams were taped and floated

Whole house was shot with orange peel texture then painted

So far no problems at all with paint peeling or chipping

All carpet was pulled out and replaced with laminate wood flooring

Replaced all interior doors and door knobs

Installed ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living room

Replaced mirrors and fixtures in both bathrooms

It was alot of work and could not have done it without my family especially

my two brother in laws and uncle.

Fourth of July priming party!

Today I spent part of the 4th priming the walls of the home. I went with the Zinsser 123 primer to have a good foundation for the next step in completing the walls. Next I will tape the wall joints and then shoot the walls with an orange peel texture.

Painting is easy when you have two brother in laws willing to help on a holiday!

Removing some things!

Removed all the strips off walls and around doors

Removed all blinds that were mounted outside window sill area.

Will mount new ones inside window sill area.

Removed plain mirrors from bath walls/will also remove vanity lights.

Removed vinyl coverings on window sill area and found this mess.

I will caulk around all the windows and drywall this area and place

metal corners around all windows.
